what are the major differances between the master cylinders of power boost and manual brakes, i am trying to make a swap because my pedal is fading and i've been told to swap the cylinders but my 76 F150 is power assist and my donor truck is a 78 F100 ranger with manual brakes, they look the same, my big / IS ABOUT THE PUSH RODS DO THEY NEED TO BE CHANGED?. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

little boss, I don't fully understand your problem, but have you checked the fluid level. Are there any wet hubs from the inside looking out? If you need a master cylinder, either get a new one or remanufactured one.

There is a major differnce between power and manuel masters, Just for info they are not interchangeable! It has to do with one, the rod that comes out of a booster is different then the rod out of the pedal, two the size of the internal piston and by pass for front and rear are different.
Just by a rebuilt master only about $25.00 to $35.00 for this truck
