I want to convert my '59 to power brakes, does any later model master cylinder swap in place? what about interference with my hydraulic clutch master cylinder?
Thanks,
jim

Jim,
There is a company that makes a retro fit kit that I believe uses 60's mustang booster and master cylinder.A guy on this board talked about it but I don't remember which message, I'll look in by mag collection and see if I can find a ad.
As far as the sway bars I would rebuild the front end first. My 60 had really bad steering then I replace the king pins, tie rods and drag arm it helped alot, but I still need to rebuild the steering box though, I'm thinking of switching to a Toyota power steering box.
Good Luck

Folks
Even though I have a '63, I would appreciate anyone finding out information or specifics on this subject e-mail me at: skip4274@flash.net
I'm putting the ECI disk brake kit on my truck and probably need the dual, power master cylinder to use with it.
Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Well, just buying a one owner original 59 F-100 and as you might guess just getting in "neck" deep . has a 223 6 cyl. and 4 spd manual trans. I noticed some references to front end components and steering box - rebuilding / adjusting.. I would LOVE to hear from those experienced with this vintage and hear your experiences & idea's / comments about what I've gotten myself into & what to do with it... ha
