1991 f350 has problem with electrical... with the ignition switch on it starts without problems, but I have to rotate switch back to get the a/c and brakelight/turnsignals to operate. I replaced the switch. no changes.. is the starter/ ignition relay in column adjustable.. it seems like a linkage is not lining up properly, how hard is it to replace that relay... it is getting harder to find that point where the brake lights work before engine is turned off by switch being rotated backwards.
You need to adjust the position of the switch on top of the lower column.
If you have a manual tranny, easier to do if you drop the column from the bottom of the dash. An auto requires disconnecting a little cable that moves the gear indicator. Personally I would proably just leave the column in place if it is an auto.
Might want to take the oportunity to unplug the switch and examine it for corrosion or melted plastic.
Assuming the switch is good, loosen the mounting screws and move it a little. Try the functions, and move again until you get it right. Firmly tighen in place and reattch to bottom of dash. Little awkward, but not hard. Good Luck Frank
