Unhappy Sorry to See It Go. . .

well, ive come to the fork in the road where my truck and i must part ways... im sorry to see it go, but alas, the need for cash is here. its the very vehicle that brought me to this wonderful family of FTEs, not quite a year ago. all i can hope for is that it goes to a fellow user of this forum, or brings us a new user. goodbye, dear friend.

if you wish to bid my old 91 farewell, or perhaps invite the ol girl into your family, heres the link:

Ford : F-250 : eBay Motors (item 320480367678 end time Feb-02-10 22:59:08 PST)

I can see you really aren't interested in selling it. A 1991 truck that's been rolled with a starting bid of $3500?

Mine's only 2 years older than yours, never rolled, minor rust at the rear wheel wells, and I picked it up much cheaper.

Good luck on the sale...

There has been a bid placed on it already. Is it really that far off the mark?

Respectfully,

It's worth whatever somebody will pay for it....that's the beauty of Ebay. Even if it doesn't meet a reserve price, you can always make that second chance offer....

Yup...that bidder has 10 bid retractions within the last 12 months.

Here's the bidder's history... Bidding Details

Looks like someone screwing around...not a serious bidder.

I'm not cracking on his truck...don't get me wrong. I'm just of the belief that the asking price may be too much

Wow.....I didn't realize that you could retract a bid after placing it.
What's the purpose of bidding if you are able to retract it?

I looked at the truck on Ebay and I have one slight problem with your listing. You mentioned that "there is no Lariat grab handle" on the passenger side due to roll over. I'll tell you now that there is no such thing as a Lariat grab handle. Those are aftermarket grab handles mounted on there, probably came from JC Whitney, not the Ford Factory. I will say this too, it looks like the truck could definatly use some work to really look its best, and I agree with jplinville, $3500 seems a little steep. I'd remove the reserve and take whatever it brings.

Can't remove the reserve, it has a bid now. The Auction is off and running now but if it does not sell and you re list I would recommend you start the bidding low ($100) and set a reserve. It will encourage bidding and you don't have to sell unless it hits the reserve. Good Luck.

as best i can figure, if the handles arent factory, they are dealer options. it had running boards when i bought it too, but the one on the right was jacked up from the roll, so i took em off. and as far as the price, i set it where i did for two reasons. first: ive seen trucks in lesser condition, with fewer features, that were a couple of years older, and also burned gas, run as much as 5k. second: i would like to be able to get a new truck after this one goes.

i just checked his bidding history. for the number of items he bids on at once, i dont think 10 retractions in the last 6 months is a very big deal at all. he has like 30 items bid on, and according to his rep, he is a grade-A user and pays upon win, with only ONE exception that was in october of 06.

...which is currently bidding on 2 Chevy trucks, your Ford truck, a Harley Davidson, and 2 custom bikes....

Like I said...good luck

I did not know that either. There have been times that I got too wrapped up in silly bidding wars. I probably should have retracted my bid and gone home.

Craigslist has been working better for me lately.

Thank you,
