Look for D5 emissions stickers. I also seem to remember '85 was the last year for carbs. However, just because you find a D5 engine with a 4bbl carb(should be a Holley), don't assume it's a roller cam engine. I would pull the intake manifold to check for sure.

This is not true. The only roller for 85 was the 4V H.O. The other 5.0s, CFI were not rollers. The roller block will be cast with an E5 casting number. It is found on the block under where the starter goes. Pete's Ponies

So then all of the 302s built after 1985 are not roller cams?

You just save me $ 500.00 because someone tried
to sell be a stock 302 as an 1985 5.0 liter HO
roller cam engine.
I couldn't find D5 emission sticker or E5 casting

>cams? I didn't realize that the engine was a 4-barrel. Sorry bout that. I thought that all 302's from 85-on were fuel-injected in the trucks. I know thats true.
