electric fan conversion

is there some ON/ temporary on wires i can tap into that could activate an electric fan? the universal kit by painless is ridiculously expensive for just a relay and a sensor. i was thinking about converting it to electric fan since my fan clutch seized finally.

i was gonna check to see if there is a on off circuit through the AC compressor since i no longer have that in there.

If you buy a fan kit, it will give you everything you need. If you are going the junkyard route, I believe you can get a thermistat/relay switch from Summit.

Dave when I put the Tarsus fan on my 91 I used a thermostat control switch that the sense bulb was inserted in the rad fins next to the top rad hose and the control wire from the switch ran to the control coil of a continuous duty relay. I got them from NAPA and if I remember right they cost me about 35 bucks for all of it. You could wire it direct to the battery (with a fuse and a switch of course!!) and manually turn it on when needed .I would only go this route if this were to be temporary.
Good luck!
Kenny
