Hi.. I'm new here (though I've had my account for quite some time). I just bought a 73 F100 with the 302 and a 3 on the tree...pretty much my dream truck. I've been looking around the forums and learning all about my truck and wanted to say how great this forum is. I'm sure you'll be hearing questions from me soon enough. Here are a couple pics of my truck...
I got it like that. Just picked it up yesterday. Took it in for PA inspection today....wasn't sure what they'd tell me. All I needed was turn signal bulbs in the instrument panel and wiper blades. Not too shabby for a 37 year old truck!
Pretty sweet looking! So tell us the back story on the truck. Got any under the hood pictures, and how many miles are on it?
Also, welcome to the 73-79 dentside section!! I see you are a PA dentside brother too!! You should come to the truck nationals in Carlisle Pa this August.
Nice truck, and an excellent example of the under dash a/c unit discussed in another thread. Would love to see under the hood and see how the a/c compressor is mounted.

Phew..took so long for me to reply. I've been busy playing around with my new truck. Changing the instrument panel turn signal bulbs was a cinch with the suggestions found here. This site is great.
Under hood shot
Not sure why there's duct tape there....perhaps somebody could offer a suggestion as to why they may have done that or if I should be removing it (ooh..maybe duct tape was a factory option on the 'Custom').
Nice truck Welcome to FTE. An what are your plans for it an what did you have before this truck?
Plans are to drive it...fix what's not perfect....but not a true restoration. My other car is a Civic Si and my last truck was a 92 Ranger. I've always wanted one of the big old 70s Fords, though, so I'm happy to finally have one.
