no but a service is dropping the pan and replacing the filter however unless there is some huge chunk of metal in the pan there won't be much diag there either
First of all thanks for all the input Fordtech08. I decided to go to the dealer to have it done, they had their trans tech take it out and drive it a couple times and he ran some computer diags on it. Said its shifting about how it should...they told me I have a heavy duty trans and that's just kind of how it shifts. So I'm not doing any damage. the report says the torque converter comes in hard at 38mph but its being told to by the pcm ... The tech told me he could remove the trans and check the converter end for play but with such low miles its not worth it. I think it is shifting a little smoother now with the new fluid, so I'm happy that there is nothing wrong... the guy had the truck for about 3 hours today and was only working on mine. Cost about 200 for everything... not bad. On a side note... i decided to get an air filter from the dealer while i was there and get rid of the K&N that was on it when I got it. So i went to change the filter and the damn seal from the k&n was gone... don't know how long but I think I saw it about a week ago. I guess it got sucked in which blows... The truck isn't running bad same as it has but I won't be doing the K&N again. Is there anything I should do to try and combat that seal... injector cleaner, oil change... etc?
