Yeah they're great. that's why they're so much more popular for performance builds than the FE and 385 series right ? I know how people get defensive of what they own but the facts are the facts you can't change them.

The facts look to be that they are plenty capable then…..
You can get power out of about anything for a short period of time. but a 335 series will not build the power or last as long as the better engines this is a fact.
In the early 80's the local Ford dealer stocked the parts to change out a 385 series in place of the 335 that's how crappy they were. and I did one using the parts they had and Fabing my own because at 55,000 miles the bottom end was out on my '79 400 and I didn't want to do the normal 50,000 miles new bearings and oil pump routine . I still own it.
This is beating a dead horse it's common knowledge the 335 series engine was one of Ford's worst train wrecks I grew up with them and nobody is going to dazzle me with sales pitches to the contrary. carry on maybe someone will listen .
