WTF?

hey guys maybe a transmission guru can help. 1990 f150 4x4 5.8 e40d. trans started shuddering between 1-2 ans 2-3 shift checked everything electrical and things were within specs..was getting a code 62 which was a bad torque converter clutch i think. added dr.tranny shudder fix and drove for a while in freezing cold weather. truck started shifting like new. nice and smooth. then i noticed smoke coming out from underneath and stopped and trans fluid was everywhere. coated the whole underside of truck and it was just dumping from the front of trans.tried to back up and it went forward. no matter what gear it was in it wanted to go forward if i gave it gas.took off driveshafts and towed it to parents. thought it just overheated let it cool and started up and fluid just dumped out.pulled trans out ( not easy) seal looked good but replaced any way. got a rebuilt torque converter and installed everything.stated up and after about 1-2 minutes started dumping again! took apart again put another new seal in( u could see where fluid had been running over /down seal just like b4) put another new seal in and put back together and started it up and 1-2 minutes bam started dumping out front again. under truck i could hear fluid "draining" or under pressure or something ( truck shut off) could something have happened internally causing it to force fluid past the seal?( between seal and tc) maybe something not opening to let fluid flow normally and its beeing forced past the seal? any help much appreciated.

If the pump bushing has moved out of the pump and is touching the back of the seal it will cause the seal to leak.

I would be more concerned about the forward in all gears, that usually means that the forward clutches are burnt so bad that they are welded together. This means it needs to be rebuilt.

how do i replace the front pump bushing? im sure thats what is still leaking. my tranny was going forward in all gears when it had dumped and was dumping the fluid in extremly cold temperature. could the fluid have just gotten into something electrical like the mlps or even on the solenoid pack connector and caused it to do this( forward in all gears) the whole underneath was completly coated in fluid almost looked like it was undercoated.lol also the plug at the solenoid connector wasnt completly pushed in and locked. im hoping it doesnt need a rebuild i cant afford it. i could do it myself if i had the instructions.

There is nothing electronic that could make it have forward in all gears. The forward clutch is stuck on, most likely it has welded itself together. The trans needs to be rebuilt. Sorry.
