Hello all
Thanks for all the responses , they helped greatly. I think its the computor thats causeing the problems . A freind of mine brought over a snap on diagnostic tool and we could get it the read anything from the computor
Everything else checks out . but i still have a few questions
Just before the fuel problem started we changed out the under dash wiring harness ,and the heater box . I cant see anything that we done under the dash caused any of the problems , am i wrong ?? Is there anything under the dash related to fuel problems (other than the tank selector switch )
Also there are two computor boxes ( dont really know what else to call them) one is under the dash and the other is in the kick panel right at the drivers feet
I think the one in the kick panel is the one I think I need to change . Right???
What is the one under the dask for ?? Could that one cause any fuel issuses .
Last question,, will a computor for a 5.6 still work on a 5.0 . I have a computor out of a 1989 5.6

I do not know anything about a Snap-On scanner but you were told in another post how to get the codes without any extra equipment to pull codes.

The 89 5.8L should still start and run the engine of your 89 5.0L.
