I think he's referring to some sort of dash lighting - gauges, HVAC controls, ash tray, etc. If
only ONE of those is staying lit all the time, I'd go looking into the wiring of that specific
lamp as they should all operate together. Those lamps are controlled by the headlight
switch, and the dash lighting comes on with the parking (aka marker) lamps.
I figured he was using a different word for something common; like ute for truck, tray for bed, or bonnet for hood. Remember the old commercial, "How to speak Australian"?
As far as i can tell, in Australia a trader is a cab over straight truck, and a glow light is a dash warning light, like an idiot light.
Then, our question back to the guy would be, "Which glow light is staying on?" I
can't recall there being any such lights that remain lit while the ignition is OFF,
but Australian trucks may be different in that regard....
