well i ask cus the other side doesn't have this gap........jeez i may have to look again.i didn't think it did.
thanks.iv never had a truck with front leafs before.figured i better check just to make sure.i guess its the weight of the motor that creates this gap?
doesn't matter as long its not something wearing out tho.

That spring has a military wrap on it. That's the part that wraps around the spring eye again. I think it should have a gap. If your main leaf broke, that military wrap would fall onto the bushing or bolt minimizing damage and you can gimp it home.
