Im out!!!! I got out about 2 hours ago went in to town to a buddies house who thought it was hilarious. My dad got there and pulled me out with his Kabota tractor and a wrecker chain pretty easily. Some one said it looked like a marsh which it is true is a swamp land. But I was only at the edge of it no where close to the middle that was the mildest part of the swamp and even that was bad. It was very soft ground and I even got a 4 wheeler stuck right beside my truck which i pushed out. I did get a long ways. The pics were after I had reversed it and finally got stuck. I had gone along way in there until it finally got too deep. The ruts are really bad. Just got done taking the truck to the car wash to get all the mud from under it. I dont think I'll be doing that agin anytime soon.
Glad you got out, you should try some BFG's. I have them on the back of my E350 and I am very happey with them. I can get it through stuff a 4x4 with highway treads can't.
I love those pics!! Our family makes a few trips a year to the Oregon dunes near Florence and you see stuff similar to that quite often. The people that drag their triple-axle toy hauler out to the dunes with their stock-tired dually are far and aways the best to watch. The thing about getting stuck in the dunes is there aren't any trees to winch out with and when you get 25,000 lbs of truck, trailer and quads stuck knee-deep in sand, you don't have too many freinds.
Why is Dad mad ?
Is it his truck ? or just didn't want to 'hep' ?
Suggest you go back under and check everything CLOSELY....
You have no idea how good mud is at hiding in all kinds of places and messing up things later.... like your hubs, linkages, etc....
Get it before it turns to concrete
Its my truck. He wasn't too happy about having to get the tractor.
Last night I crawlered all up under it with a pressure washer cleaned it up pretty good. No mud in the hubs or places like that I never got that deep until I finally got stuck. Going to go do some more cleaning on it tomorow.
Not exactly your top choice for off road tires lol.
The Geo's got you stuck, huh?
Well, I guess for that swampy crap, nothing short of a good bogger is going through there. If you off road a lot, you may want to look into getting a better tire. In any case, the Geos work well for snow!
