I have a 01 7.3l with 95000 mile and it seems to be using about 2qt of oil between fill ups (about 400mile).
any suggestions?

I dont know about the leak, but keep it filled up. check it every day if you have to. one of my cars has a slow leak and i have to put a little in every 4 days or so to keep it filled up. the last thing you want to do is have an engine with not enough oil in it.

Any blue smoke out the tail pipe or small puddles in the driveway? That is really heavy usage. I use about a half quart in 3,000 miles.

Try using a high miliage oil, they have additivaties in them that help with that problem. Also Lucus oil additive it also works pretty good.
