Cheap way to get 2in of lift?

I only want to clear 33's so I believe 1.5'' or 2'' should be plenty (probably could keep it stock height and trim the bumper but the back is sagging a little) Would a 2'' block in the back and some new coils up front do the trick? Would I have to get new shocks for the change in ride height?

if you put coils on the front and alter the ride height that way it will throw your front end allignment out of whack and you will need to get it alligned what i would do is get a leveling kit and the back can fit 33s easy

sounds like you need new leafs in the back or to take them to a spring shop to have them redone.

"Cheap" and "lift" do not belong in the same sentence. If you want to lift your truck, do it the right way. The right way is never the cheap or easy way. Putting a cheap lift on your truck will shorten the life of your suspension parts and put yourself at a higher risk of injury or death.

Sorry to sound so much like a warning label but people just don't seem to get this.

If you put a leveling kit on the front it will raise it about 1.5" but you will need new camber bushings and if you don't do it yourself it can be tricky to find a shop that knows what they're doing.

What a downer. I didnt mean cheap as in parts from china. I meant a cheap way to get 2'' without getting boned by the major manufacturers of lift kits. I think Im just going to buy new leaf packs for the back and new stock springs for the front. It will give me what Im looking for without crushing my wallet. I like the max tire minimum lift look personally.

Andym.. I wasnt being an ***. But that was quite a picture you painted from shortening component life to DEATH!! Thank you for the info though. I think buying new leafs would serve the dual purpose of giving me a little lift and improving ride quality. Same up front.
This forum is awesome and I have learned a lot so far. Im sure I will have another question later today. Trying to get a total parts list to restore the truck so im starting with the drivetrain and suspension.

I'd think that if you are sure that 2" is where ya are going to want it from here on out (I did that, then wanted 4" then 6") I'd just get some new springs and blocks for the rear and have it realigned. It will be worth it and save you in the long run from jerry-riggin something up. Whatever you do, don't get a body lift IMO.

This is what some people do when they are trying to save money on a lift kit:

Now you know why I said what I did and why I said it that way.
