02 with 122,000 pretty much troubel free miles Started shutting down about three weeks ago bought sensor put in glove box 1 week ago ran great until last night started it & it stalled re-started three times died all three times scanned codes had the sensor code so replace sensor. Still no start at all re checked connection to sensor & scanned again no sensor code. Disconected batts thinking something needed to be re-set no luck. a buddy of mine suggested check for air in fuel system pulled filter turned on ig fuel bowl filled no bubbels but it did not fill very fast put filter in still no start. Also no smoke at all when cranking. Any Ideas guys?
So no codes at all now? WTS and all dash lights work normal? Engine oil full? Batteries charged up? You did remember to plug the new sensor in, right? Is it a Ford brand or one from the auto parts store?
Had to gpo to IL this weekend so just got back on line the trip was kinda rough had to take the wifes Scion XB....I missed my truck!!!!
Anyway, F-350 Correct, no codes at all now dash lights normal & WTS lite goes out like normal. batts charged & Engine oil full changed about two weeks ago, pulled the plug on the top of the HPOP used my mighty vac line shoved it to the bottom of the HPOH pluged the other end and pulled it out & the HPOH level seemes to be full whel i held it up to the front of the high pop to compair level of oil in the tube. did check the cs sensor plug today disconnected & reconnected still cranks no start not a bit of smoke like glow plugs are not working. New sensor Ford grey one from the ford house.
Izzy, It looked like the fuel bowl filled up in about the same time as you described also craled under it to day had the kid turn on the switch the pump comes on & hums then after about 10 seconds or so it did change tone of the hum a bit....
Any ideas aboout an electrical switch or fuel valve that turns on & off the fuel?????

The pump will only operate until the bowl is full unless the engine is running...no smoke huh...sounds like maybe the "whatever the heck it's called" big plug over the drivers valve cover...or the UVCH harness...or, may be the GPR...anybody else want 2 chime in????
Somebody will get you back up and running for your next trip...lol
No smoke out the tailpipe means the injectors are not firing. Have you checked for any blown fuses? Have you opened the fuel bowl drain and turned the key on to make sure you had a good steady pressure stream of fuel coming out of the hose? If you've got power to the fuel pump, but no smoke at all while cranking, I'm surprised you don't have a code. The stuff that doesn't leave a code after 25 seconds of cranking is usually no fuel or a dead circuit.
Will check the fuses tonight was reading another post about the fuel bowl heater blowing a 30 amp fuse causing a no start condition.
Did run a bunch of fuel on the ground via the valve on the back of the fuel bowl......Keep the ideas cumming I will keep checking stuff !!
