PCM swap
My PCM's memory went bad and would not throw a code for my bad coil.
Dealer said the memory was bad and would run but not remember things or learn. Mine is a 99 v10 with auto, I found a 99 v10 Manual trany pcm. Dos anyone know if it will run my truck or do I have to have it programed for the auto trany.

Not sure it will work.I just swapped out pcm's ad learned the hard way about them.The manual wont control the tranny and im not sure you can program that in.Even if you can it will cost you a programmer.You also want to make sure the pcm is the same... 4x4 or 2 wheel as yours.If you get a 2wheel pcm and yous is a 4x4 you will throw tranny codes....o/d button will blink.that can be programmed though.Talk to mike at 5 star tuning and he should be able to help you with your pcm as he did me.just try and make sure you get a pcm with all the options yours had.Sorry i wasnt more help!
