I did mine in about 3 hours or less of actually working. Had a friend of mine that works on big rigs help me.
Don't skimp on the tranny jack. That makes or breaks the job in my opinnion. Get one that is heavy duty and is adjustable left to right, front to back, etc. I used one that was rated for big rigs and it was cake getting everything to line up.
Nobody has mentioned this, but the biggest problem I had was working around the exhaust. However, I have a custum DP and exhaust.. it was a PITA.
Torque specs should be provided by the manufacturer of the clutch. I'd would think those specs would over rule the stock ones.
Kevin told me "just the standard ones" then rattled off a bunch of numbers.
like 23 110, i dont rememb.er hahaha
I'm lookin round for a tranny jack for sure. I can do it without. but, you know, to bad the chainfall can't just magically go though the truck. haha.
Getting some Up Pipes from Clay, and a new clutch fork from clay along with 2 new VC gaskets if his come in a set.
Most of his stuff for that is OEM, so I'll stick with those unless somebody has another suggestion.
Once I get this clutch in, i can think about an IC and a d66. =)
My exhaust is one piece, unforunatly, but i'm sure i can just disconect it on the turbo and push it to the side.
I need to know if there are any other parts in there i need to inspect and maybe have ready to replace?
Here's a real tip I just thought about. When you are putting the torque to the flywheel, get a piece of chain and attach it to one of the bell housing bolts and one of the flywheel bolts. This prevents the flywheel from turing so you can properly torque them.
I'm sure I can figure something out like that Farm69.
Man, I cannot wait to do this project.
Hurry up monies, come quicker!!!
Soon as i have that check in my hand, i'm calling kevin on the way to the bank. "Start building my ****!"
Is it true that your up pipes can be replaced with the 99 up pipes?
Talyn What flywheel are you using with your clutch? I have a wierd rattle when I let the clutch out, I think it is a broken spring on the dual mass wheel...

Most likely you are probably right. I would bet on that one. Mine made funny noises and then sometimes it would start to shake the truck violently. I would have to shut it off then restart. All of the bearings that were left would group up on one side and throw it way off balance.
William, ur gonna fall in love with that clutch so watch out!!! it's going to be grabby when compared to what you have so you are going to have to get used to driving it a different way to keep it from shaking the hell out of the truck at times. when towing that clutch is smooooth!! i still like that clutch a lot, i just ruined mine. haha
Kevin said there is a 500 mile brake in. I'ma have to make a road trip. haha.
And with the way I drive a stick. I'm sure there will be no problems with shake. I"m on a truck clutch like i'm driving a tractor. haha.
you ride the pedal?!?! please don't do that to the valair dude.. and the 500 mile break in also means do as much stop and go driving as you can in that 500 miles, don't run it very hard in that 500 miles, and don't do stupid chit to it in that 500 miles like ride the clutch constantly, and just be relatively easy on it. after that 500 miles then you can do some decent 2nd gear launches, burnouts, etc. i will warn you though, don't try any 3rd gear launches with it or anything too crazy like that b/c with a single disc clutch you can dish the clutch disc by doing that kind of thing. haha
