GDS Fuel pressure spring replace
Received GDS Fuel Pressure spring several days ago and got around to installing it today. I'm sure I read it was supposed to take 10 minutes but mine took closer to 30 minutes. Directions said nothing about having to remove radiator hose that runs so close to bottom bolt it is impossible to remove it with it in the way. Removing hose was pretty straighforward just unexpected. Installed spring with no problems after removing hose, reinstalled hose and added probally a 2 quarts of coolant lost. Looking forward to testing it tomorrow and see if it helps hesitation on start up.

By the way when I did my spring upgrade I bought both the Ford upgrade kit and the the GDS spring to compare then I laid both of them plus the stock spring out and noticed that the ford upgrade spring was about 3/32" longer and stiffer than the stock spring and the GDS spring was another 1/16" longer and stiffer than the ford upgrade spring. I still have the Ford upgrade spring and will send it to whomever wants it for free. I will double envelope it and mail it tomorrow. First PM gets it.

GDS spring install
I think the reason I had to pull the hose is the T-27 tool I was using was a 3/8 drive and was so long I would have had to really shove it into hose and didn't want to risk cutting it so removing hose was the easiest for me. Checke it out today and still not sure it made any difference in hesitation will give it a better test later today.

Hey Cheeze,
Do you think this is a worht while mod for everyone or those that are running tuners. I was wondering about the spring or the BB, I would rather install the spring, Im not to keen on sticking a BB in my fuel system, I know people do it with no problems but I would rather install a part that is made for my truck.
I did have a tuner but I dont run it in the winter cause ever since my reflash it make the truck smoke like a chimney when cold.
I was also going to contact my dealer and get the new flash and see if that helps any, my startegy now is VXCF7H3, I guess I just missed the new one
To the OP sorry for jacking your thread.
Thanks,
Sarge
