if the fan turns freely while the engine is off then the fan clutch is not locked up.

I have the same set up as you , and any highway driving over 1800-2000 rpm and I can pretty much watch the fuel gauge drop.

Injectors should not be wore out to the point of having to be changed at115,000 miles.
What kind of mileage are you getting.
How good does it roll. I have run across several rigs with calipers that doesn't completely release and that kills mileage.
Have you ever packed the wheel bearings.

Winter fuel, warm up time, hubs locked in, 4x4, not really getting up to temp are all playing a part.

Add up enough little parts, you can have something rather big.

Okay so I think my thermostat is the problem. Coolant temp gets to the n on normal but that is it. And that was after driving 65 mph for 30 miles and 5 or so after that. So do I buy a new one of these? Or is there a way I can unjam mine and get it working again?

New one and dealer only parts house aftermarket have too many reports of not working right. They are not expensive.
