I'm new here but been lurking for a couple of months. Bought a 03 X with 130k on it. Nice clean truck. I have the "clunking" under my feet so I disconnect the swaybar link ends & it went away. So I replaced the links with 2 new links & drove the truck & the clunk is back. Anyony have this problem?
Maybe the sway bar bushings are bad. You might want to give them a look see and maybe change them out if bad. I would because when you had the end links disconnected there was no clunk so the only other place it might be are the sway bar bushings. Let us know what it is. Ian

+1 on that. I had a the same clunk - the links looked good, so I just and replaced the bushings and the clunk was gone.
I had the same problem. I replaced the sway bar links with new ones and still had the same sound. In the end I had to take it to a shop and they found out that the new ends I installed were defective. They installed a different brand and the sound went away. By the way, I bought Duramax from Autozone and they were crap.
