Need help removing turbo
You can tell if it is a Cali model by the black (UFO) disc on the fuel pump (maybe 2-2.5" diameter). I believe it will have "BOSCH" printed on it. ALSO, it may have a "Cali" sticker under the hood (I say may b/c mine is a Cali but it doesn't have the sticker.....anymore).
If you do have a Cali model there are some things you should know:
Don't do the FPR shim.....you already have enough pressure. If you do this is will wear out you fuel pump VERY quickly.
You have split injectors. So if you change the injectors ask here and the vendor if the new injectors will work on a Cali model.
You have a PCM that is programmed differently. So if you change the PCM ask here and the vendor if the new injectors will work on a Cali model.
If you get a chip or a tune I believe the Cali will factor in so be sure the vendor knows.
I am sure there are some other things but I believe these are the biggies.
