Stock Downpipe

What is the stock downpipe size? I looked around and havent seen much. I assume its 3" ish.

I plan to go with a 3.5 if thats the case to hopefully improve the EGTs and turbo spool.....but gauges come first!!!

Thanks
Thad

Is this an unknown question or just way to over-discussed even though I cant find it in a search?

The stock down pipe is 3 inch with a sort of resonator on the 03, still have mine setting in the corner of the shop.

Thanks!

A 3.5 might be worth it for the lower EGT's then......gauges....hmmm...

dakotajeep' how do you like your retread tires? I was thinking about getting some, what kind of mileage are you getting out of them. And how do they do traction wise?

your 03 DP will be 3" with a layer of heat wrap around it to cover the spots where it's smashed to 2 1/2"..

Love them so far! I have about 10,000 miles on them and they are wearing fine. A little fast but even and not pitting or chinking off.....unfortunately I only spend 15% or so of my driving off paved roads so they may wear differently when used primarily off road. Since they are cheap I bought a full sized spare and have been roating that through also. The guys that balanced them when I put them on my 03 said it took alot of weight to balance. Traction wise I have no complaints. The soft rubber holds the road well and icy roads but its still a mud tire. Had them in the mud enroute to a hunting spot yesterday and they performed like a champ in the deeper stuff.

Thanks! Sounds like the there is legitimacy to upgrading the DP!!!
