2wd, 99 f350 7.3, dually , automatic tranny, when i first go everything good, tranny warms up, and i come to a stop it slipps when i try and take off again, can pull it in first and it works like it suppose to, what i mean by slipps is the engine will rev to 1800-2000 rpms brfore truck starts to move and takes a longer time to get up to speed and help would be appreiated....thanks email-beaudaniel83@hotmail.com
I suspect that the seals in the forward clutch are about worn out. Putting the shifter in 1 increases the pressure to the clutch so it works better. When the trans is cold the ATF is thicker so that it doesn't leak past the seals as easily.
