I am getting rid of some stuff (need room) So Ihave an85 supercab 2X 6,9 The bed has a crack in it from a toolbox was mounted but the cab is straight and rust free AZ truck. I am goind to dissemble the truck, keep the motor for parts probably cut the frame for scrap. Should I keep the cab and front clip or sell it, trade it or what would you guys I have two supercabs that I drive but the cabs are in great shape.
if the truck is all good, and you don't really need the parts,i would junk the bad bed, toss a home made flat bed on it,and sell the whole as a good truck.
unless the rig is just so far worn out, that it would just be cheaper to start with something newer at this point,or you need the parts.

lol if I was going to do that I would put a set of bedrails and a headache rack, The bed id nice other than that one crack, But I have already sold the rear and gave a kid the grill. I usually buy the 2X and part them out they are worth more than a running rig.Besides this one is auto.
oh.
well if you need the room, its not going to help ya any by keeping the super cab laying around "in case" ya stave your rig up and need it.
if its solid, and you need the room,i guess you answered your own question......sell it.
if you can find the room,it would be good to hang onto it i guess.but if your retired and not driving much these days, you lowered the odds of getting in a wreck and needing it greatly.in which case,id sell it to someone who could use before she just rots away sitting.
2x so around here it gets parted but I've known that one since it was new.
The captains chairs, console, tilt column, running boards and bug deflector went on my dually. The cab is going on my 84, I'm still up in the air on the bed though and it is even rino lined.
The motor has less than 10,000 miles on a rebuild, but has a topend knock new IP and injectors, clutch and new dual exhaust at the same time. The motor will eventually go in my bronco or wrecker, so nearly all of this one will be used.
