Just installed tow mirrors but never had wire for puddle lamps how is everyone doing theirs. Need pins for connector were to buy and were do you tie into i have a 2009 xlt , Thanks skidoos
I installed them on my 09 Screw. The wire should be in the original harness to the mirrors. I believe its the purple wire. There should be 12v on that wire when the interior lights are on. If not then you'll have to see a dealer to reprogram the SJB ( Smart Junction Box). My dealer was advised by Ford that they don't support the reprogramming because the truck was never equipped withe lights from the factory. To get around this I connected a wire from the overhead interior lights thru the door up to the puddle lamps. Works fine. I did not use original Frord puddle lamps, I used 20 watt 12v pot lamps. They just happen to be the correct size to fit in the blank covers in the mirrors. The Ford p/n for the lamp is 13B375. I do have some pics if your interested, just send me a pm and I'll email them to you.
Hope this helps
Since the administrators won't allow me to attach anything to my post, and I can't pm anyone I've uploaded pictures to the Albums under Puddle Lamps. Hopefully this will answer most questions. If not I'll check back here on a regular basis.
Hey everyone, new member here....I have a 2011 f150 king ranch and I have a issue with the puddle lights. The passenger side light works but not the drivers side...tried new lights and that did not work. Can anyone help? Wondering if it's a ground issue but don't know where to start. Thanks!

I found the correct size and style pins in a radio adapter harness kit at Walmart. I can't find the package, right now, to give you a part number.
