First you need to determine which rear you have, piece of cake after that!
Use the pdf link above,it will help you identify if it is a dana 135 or not.
The procedure will be basically the same for either, however, the installation part will be a little different.Basically different lock and torque specs/procedure.
The 550 rear axle is Dana 135. 350 dually dana 80. whole different animal. square axle housing, drop out center,14-15 in rotors, axle bearings are twice as big. really heavy
the socket previously mentioned is not anything close to what you need. Hub nut socket for Dana 135-- 3 1/4" 6 sided socket Bluepoint #ANS 1904A
KD also has it but not sure of the number. refer back to the service manual supplied above for the correct torque specs and procedure. not sure on pinion nut size.
I am bringing up an OLD thread trying to find the answer I am looking for.
I have a 99 F550 with the dana 135 rear axle(square tube in pic)
I have the 3.25 axle nut. BUT mine is the ratchet style. And the spicer manual does NOT cover that style nut. I need to find out what the torque procedure is

Hey Diesel Brad, I know this was a long time ago, but I have the same set up. I have the ratchet style nut on my 1999 F53 which has the S-135 differential. I can't find the torque procedure anywhere for the ratchet style nut.
Do you by any chance find anything on the correct procedure?
I know this is a long shot, but any help is appreciated, regards, Oden
