I have a 2000 F-150 4x4 thats started a vibration/shake in the front end. Feels as though its comin from the driver side. It sits on a 6" Fabtech suspension lift. Both sides upper ball joints were replaced shortly after liftin it 2 years ago. Drivers side hub replaced due to abs sensor goin out less then 2 years ago. Lower ball joint on driver side was replaced a few weeks ago. Cv driveshaft on driverside just replaced. Once it was replaced truck drove fine for a few days then started again. Dont really know how to describe it but sometimes it isnt bad then it gets worse then it wont do it for a few miles then start again. It was squekin from this side before replacin the shaft and still did it for few mins after it was replaced then stopped. Now no noise just the vibration. We've brainstormed and haven't come up with any other ideas unless its the bearins in that hub (despite it bein new) but the looked fine when we just pulled it off.
4x4 quit workin a lil while back and we've been troubleshootin it as well. I'll save all that for another post but wondered if that may have anything to do with it.
I once had a vibration, replace the cv axle and a few days later the problem came back, only worse,....
long story short....the replacement axle was bad. Got a 2nd one put in and problem never came back.
I will mention that this happened in a front wheel drive car, but the similarities........
