I just got through installing a 302,c6 combo in my 1965 ford truck, it originaly had a 352, and a c6.After I put the 302 in it looks like it sits at a very sharp angle toward the back of the truck. I installed a trans mount from checkers part # 2327 a anchor mount. I went back to see if I could find something with more height to it and found a mount from a 1977 ford f-100, but it still looks a little short. If anyone has any info please let me know..thanks.
Ford used both 302's and 360/390's in trucks between 69 and 76. The 360/390 mounts would be exactly like your 352 set-up. Therefore, you should be able to find a factory 302 truck and pull the frame perches for the engine mounts and the tranny cross-member. I recently picked up a 72 F100 explorer with a 302 which I plan on parting out in the spring. If you can't find anything where you are feel free to contact me. I hope this helps.
