new to the forums
I just got my first truck a couple of months ago. I picked up a 56 F250 that needs quite a lot of work. 272 that has some interesting casting numbers that indicate it has been rebuilt at least once and has some different year stuff on it. For now I am going keep that engine and get it running, if it turns into a money pit, I am going to stick a 460 or FE in there and call it a day. Dana 60 rear, 8 lug wheels, currently bias ply/tubes (not going to stay that way).
I have a 30 Model A project that is almost done, and the Truck is the new project.
I am going to leave it as a F250, everyone asks me if I am going to convert it to a half-ton truck, but no I am not. I don't want to have what everyone else has and I like that I don't see a lot of 3/4 ton trucks with 8 foot beds out there now.
I look forward to picking your brains on ideas to make my truck a good functional working classic truck.
Congratulations on your new to you 56, one of my favorite years of Ford trucks and you have some great ideas for it.
