Hello everybody, need some help here, I have an 04 f250 6.0 and torqshift trans, I have a long delay going into drive, it will go into reverse with no problem, and when it eventually goes into drive, it would shift into all gears like nothing ever happened. I removed the valve body and replaced the line pressure control solenoid, i also replaced the inline and pan filters, also filled with new mercon sp fluid. Does anybody know if there are any other solenoid that may need to be replaced?
Just wanted to update thread, solenoid did not correct problem, it is something internal of trans, will be pulling out trans this weekend to send out for overhaul.
Thanks, turns out there was an issue with a forward piston, getting unit done as we speak, hopefully can get it back asap, and i can get it back into the truck and be on the road again.
Sounds almost like the problem I'm having with my '03 that the dealership can't figure out. Shifts into reverse fine, but once put back in drive, the accelerator is dead to a certain point the it engages and lunges forward. Sound the same? What can be done for this? Thanks
