underbed spare tire
I just bought a 1988 f-150 and the underbed spare tire carrier is hanging down and looks ugly. Is there anyway to take it off?

yes u unscrew the bolts that are holding the cross section on that supports the tire....

ya that sounds good but its doesn't have the bolt that goes in the middle and where the eye bolt goes to the tire carrier it comes right out not sure if it is supposed to or not. so if you still want it just let me know.

i dont have the center bolt in mine and it doesnt move.... lol maybe its coz i have is so tight the sidewalls are squished

but im not sure if it ever had the center bolt because of the dual tanks
