I'm curious and I'm really not trying to start an argument. Why do people think it's acceptable to ask for an X-plan PIN and ask other people to lie for them?
It's the X-plan PIN request thread. Honestly though, if you find a good dealer that's willing to sell for invoice, you'll likely do better than X-plan pricing...it's not hard to beat the X-plan.
Not really sure on your question shotgunz. It's been going on for a long time. I can do better than X-plan any day of the week so why bother anyways?
I can buy at invoice minus any and all rebates any time I want to at my local dealership and can buy for below invoice depending upon whether it's been in inventory for a while or not. If you read into the X-plan pricing a little more, it's not all it's cracked up to be. It can be a good deal but it can also mean paying more for a vehicle than you might otherwise be able to negotiate with a dealer that wants the business. I've bought many new vehicles and one in particular was bought at invoice less the rebates, less $800, and got coupons for the first year's service and maintenance free. Plus free lifetime state safety inspections and an ESP warranty.
A lot also depends on inventory and demand. I've ordered several vehicles also and every single one has ended up being below invoice by the time everything was said and done. Best thing to do is do your homework and research it thoroughly before signing.
i didn't know anyone had to lie to get one. I've got them before and the persone that got them didn't have to lie!!! What are you talking about?

I'm pretty sure Ford requires the participating partner companies to agree to limit X-plan PINs to their eligible employees.
When I asked for a PIN from my company (it's done on our internal web), you agree to abide by all X-plan requirements, including not disclosing PIN pricing and PIN numbers to ineligible employees, family, friends, etc. This is done with the familiar "read these guidlines and click I AGREE".
Thus if anyone gives you a PIN, they'd be lying...
I've gotten very good deals on certain vehicles also, but the 2011 F 250 may be a bit harder to get invoice on when it first comes out.
Shotgunz, i think the last one I got came from an actual Ford employee and she assured me it was OK. maybe your company has that policy, but not all do.
Like I said, it depends on the dealer too. I can go right now and order a new 2011 for invoice less any applicable incentives when it gets here. You need to find a dealer that will work with you on it. They are out there.
yea I bet you can. You can claim anything you want but X-Plan is a fairly good deal.People that cant get X-plan pricing always claim they can get a new truck much cheaper without the X-plan. I have not found that to be the case.
Just like you can claim that X-plan is a pretty good deal? Claims are made every day and since I'm buying my vehicles and you're not and I'm not buying yours, I'll make my claims since I know they are fact based and you can go on making your claims as well.

Well from the looks of your profile, the last truck you bought was in 2005. I dont think you can say a deal you got 5 years ago can compare to todays prices. I just bought a 2010 F150 screw 2 weeks ago and can say I got a better deal with X-plan than I could have without. So that is my claim, I bought a new F150 Screw XLT for around $2000 cheaper than I could have otherwise including all rebates and dealer incentives.
Today's prices compared to 2005's are relative. The prices have increased across the board. I priced my '05 both ways in '05 and got a better deal buying my way. It's plain common sense that deals vary from dealer to dealer plain and simple. Get your feelings off your sleeve about the X-plan pricing. Just because you did it doesn't mean it's the only way or the best way to buy a vehicle.
Wow. Negative reps are nice. It takes a real child to do that. I have never given negative reps and I'm not going to start now. But I will call you out on your cowardice and cheap shots. Congrats on the negative reps powderburn2.
