I didn't say it was the only way to go. You claim you can buy them all day long cheaper than Xplan though. How do you know, just because you got a good deal in 2005 does not mean you can still buy them all day long below Xplan now. You may very well be able to get a new truck in your locale for less than Xplan price., but where I am thats not the case.anyways, good luck too you.
tried to balance out the reps John but I got the message,,,sorry pal..........Maybe powderburn just needs his/her crayons and go play in the corner if cant converse nice
I'm pretty sure Ford requires the participating partner companies to agree to limit X-plan PINs to their eligible employees.
When I asked for a PIN from my company (it's done on our internal web), you agree to abide by all X-plan requirements, including not disclosing PIN pricing and PIN numbers to ineligible employees, family, friends, etc. This is done with the familiar "read these guidlines and click I AGREE".
Thus if anyone gives you a PIN, they'd be lying...
X-plan is also referred to as the friends & neighbors program. Ford employees can give an x-plan PIN to anyone they want. X-plan price of every vehicle Ford makes is clearly printed on the bottom of the invoice and available on the web through a dealer inventory search. Clever negotiating can easily beat x-plan pricing in many cases.
I was given an X-plan pin thru an executive in dearborn. I never met him and it was done over the web. It was legit and it was for me personnaly. To be sure, I bought stock in Ford and thus, was eligable for my own if there was going to be a problem. I held my cards close when negotiating and did not reveal my x-plan until I had struck a fair deal. I ultimatly did not use the pin as the deal was much better without. 1K below invoice plus rebates/incentives on a new 09 FX4. The dealer hates me and I was treated pretty badly from those morons, so I didn't mind beating them up. I will use a different dealer for service work. I hooked them on their survey. Also, they paid me a $1000 more for my trade-in then I paid for the vehicle outright 18 mths. earlier. This was during the cash-4-clunker days when dealers were trying to move everything they could. I did well.
