I am getting ready to install the fuel line system in my 46 and was wondering in gereral what thread sealant is used on the pipe threads coming out of the bottom of the tank. In the past I have used teflon pipe thread sealant but am concerned about its long-term effectiveness as well as fuel resistance. I am going to have a nipple coming out of the tank, a 90 degree angle and a ball valve prior to connecting flex hose, so will have several threaded areas that will need sealant. Any advice will be appreciated. phil.
Never heard of gasiola. Will look it up and may give her a try. Is it something that NAPA might carry? Any vendors you are aware of that might carry it? Thanks, phil.
I looked it up last night and it looks to be what I have been searching for to seal my S/S fittings from the gas tank. Amazing the choices they have available. Thanks for the help...phil
