Changing the front seal...
I just found a small leak today coming from behind my harmonic balancer, I'm assuming it's the front main seal? I ordered the seal today but was wondering if there's anything unexpected I should know before I start pulling the front components off this weekend. i.e. can I just pull the balancer off, change seals, then replace the balancer or is it more complicated like dropping the oil pan or loosening the main cap bolts to loosen the front of the crank? Hope it's not a dumb question I've just never seen the front of a Powerstroke stripped before so I don't know exactly how it's put together. Thanks for any info ya'll have for me.

I replaced mine a few years ago, I think I had to pull the fan and shroud off to get the balancer off, and then it took some redneck engineering to press the seal in. But I think you can just remove the oil pump and press the seal in it off the engine.
