How hot is it getting and do you have a mechanical guage. My fan clutch doesn't come own until 205 usually on a hard pull and never stays on maybe a minute it shuts off about 200 degrees.
Are you ever spitting water out.

If you are at 2000+ RPM, there is no mistaking when the fan clutch locks up, loud exhaust or not.

Does antone know the part # for a IH therostat?,the IH dealer said they need the engine ser# and I can not find it I looked on the pass side valve cove and it was not there

The serial # is on top of engine on the flat area to the right facing side of the injection pump cover, sort of below/behind the a/c compressor. It's probably dirty so you'll have to really clean and search for it. Maybe someone will come up with that # for you.

Motorcraft # E5TZ-8575-C They can convert to Int#

i know someone has a better picture but this will help. Look at the ip housing right side bolt as you are looking at it, it is on the block right behind it. The first number which would be a 7 as in 7.3 is usually hidden under a bead of silicone.

I picked up my Ford thermostat today and asked what temperature it opens up. The guy told me 192 degrees.

the juice can is from me in another post probably. I have the black plastic round container for vacuum storage not the juice tin so when i heard them chatting it up in another thread i promtly said WTF?? haha. sorry for the confusion. find the block serial yet?

That canister on the left side of that picture is the AC drier.
