Speed Density Blues
E7TE Heads wit the fuel bowls worked , milled .020, 2.25 intake 1.73 exhaust stainless steel valves, which came to 80CC .. with gasket patched port job on both intake and exhaust ports followed by a very decent polishing, intake manifold ports opened up to match gaskets and head and polished as well. heddman hedders and dual exhaust .. using the stock 24 lb injectors walbro 155 fuel pump!! summit 3501 camshaft 218/224@.050 503/503lift with 114 lobe separation.. the truck starts and has a nice lopey idle , it revs good cold but once u let it run for about 15 minutes and get to or near operating temp when u try to rev it, it acts as if its flooding or gettin 2 much fuel, no smoke out the exhaust but when u open the throttle its like it hesitates and slowly starts to accelerate or may not enuff gas? id like t think that the combination is not to radical for speed density especially being that id does have a fair cam with 114 lobe separation.. I have a set of 30lb injectors and adjustible fuel pressure regulator set aside which i can install.. aqll suggestions welcome . especially conanski; i hope u read this .. can i make the speed density work with this combination and if by chance mass air is my only alternative .. then possibly i believe that i can get a pcm and wire harness from a 92-94 T-Bird with 5.0 H.O and Aode and change the pin outs for injector control and change the pin outs for the aode to the e4od.. and runthe harness ..
Get one of these and set aside a couple of weeks to develop new settings. Your build is outside the stock ECUs programming, you need to reprogram. Have fun!
