Coolant filter change?

I added my coolant filter today (pics below). I have come to appreciate and depend on this forum for sage advice. Thanks...

I have searched but couldn't find a filter change interval. How often do you change yours?

Go to DieselSite's site. They have suggested change intervals posted.

I think it is change for first thousand miles three times and then every 10K miles thereafter. I could be wrong, but I think it is on Dieselsite.com

Also, I got to ask? How do you like the bypass filter kit? Is that the same one from Ebay?

I like the by-pass systerm a lot and the kit was great (complete and easy). I ordered it directly from Amsoil.

Go here; POWERSTROKEHELP.COM - The Information Source for Ford Power Stroke Diesel Owners for good instal instructions

Nice job! Exactly like mine. lol Went to the same site and got the idea for the oil bypass and then did just like you did for the coolant bp. Mine has been in about three months now. Just had an oil analysis done and it came back great after about 5,500 miles. The coolant hose after the filter is still hot, while running, so I guess it is not to clogged up yet. However it is on the list of things to change. I did have to lower my filter mts. down on the angle iron piece so they would clear the hood liner though. I see you also wired up your winch the same way too, it is the easiest way though. The Dieselite site has the change schedule. Good pic's too. I didn't take any as I was in a hurry so yours will make a good set to look at for others.

Great looking setup. I just watch the flow. I am tinkering with the truck almost every weekend anyway. So every weekend I simply open the degauss bottle cap, looking in from an angle, check to see that a healthy flow is still going. I change either annually or one the flow slows down.

Follows is DieselSite's recommended filter change intervals:

Recommendations on filter changes:
Use one filter every three months for the first nine months after installation. The lack of flow into the expansion tank is an indication that your filter is plugged. Change the filter if it should plug before the 3-month interval. After the 4th filter is installed your filter should be changed once per year.

When i put mine on it was suggested to change at 500 miles (waste on mine, others I know of were plugged though), 1000 miles, 6 mos, then once a year.
