I was changeing injecteros in a 6.9 and had the tip of injectore come un screwed in the hole. Does anyone have any suggestions besides pulling the intake and the head
This is becoming a problem, see the thread titled injector problems by rick wallace on this page. Read the whole thread before you do anything to save you some problems.
Whoa. Anyways if your replacing the injector, simply grind the threads off the injector body, the end that came out. Spray some PB Blaster let soak. Screw it back into the body that is stuck in the head. Disable the injection pump (unplug the wire for shutoff on the pump). Cover the area of the bad injector with a piece of wood. Crank the engine over and it should blow out of the hole. Could also use a slide hammer attached to the injector body. Once it's removed make sure the copper washer also is removed.
Ok good luck finding a site with the help and info you will have here at your free fingertips. the reason I said to look at the thread that was 4 threads under yours when it came up was it had some very good info that would take care of your problem from several members and would be waaaay quicker for you to see than I can type. generally if I offend some one I will apoligise but I don't think I will this time.
LMAO I didn't mean for it to sound snappy what I meant by becoming a problem is the same thing has happened to more than one member recently. Not that it was a problem helping you or anybody else.lol
Lmao dusty son I dont do pissin matches on the computer or on the phone(I happen to think that is about as stupid as it gets) but I do travel over most of the country and I wouldn't mind talking in person if I happen to come through area if you want to pm me your contact info.
Whoa there Dusty,Ill help you, dont read any of my thread! Get under the hood with a little screwdriver or chisel and tap around where the threads are and booger them up real good, then scratch your rear and wonder why you have royaly goofed up,Oh thats right I remember now,you acted like a jerk to the guys that have more knowledge about these engines than anyone in the world.Obama may apoligize to you,? Would that satisfy you?
Actually this looks like a huge misunderstanding to me.
This is what Starmilt was referring to, another member, Rick Wallace, having exactly the same problem on 1/6/10 and a two page thread titled "Injector Problems" about how to overcome his problem.
As you can see, that would be a lot of information, for someone to re type.
And if you go back and reread Starmilts reply, he was observing that this is a problem for more than one user right now and then pointed you right to that information you were looking for, minus the link.
Then you come back and jump on him for pointing you right at the information you were looking for, which happened to be in another thread and at the time you posted was within four threads of the one you started with almost exactly the same title. Injector Problem versus Injector Problems.
You can do what you choose about going to another site, but I bet you will not find another with as much information or people more willing to help you than where you are right now.
