On the Premium Care ESP I bought, I had to choose the deductible and I chose the $100. Not sure what extended warranty you're talking about.

They have huge differences in the number of parts from the Premium and the next level down. Premium has 500+ parts covered and the next level is 113 (extra care), 84 (base Care) and 29 (Power train Care)

Luckily, I've not needed it so far but it's a little extra comfort knowing that I'm only looking at a $100 deductible for any covered component / repair.

No, thanks for posting.....I love the sound of the 5.0.... My wife's is a screamer already as I have had it at 100+ out in the desert straits. One thing I highly recommend is the HID's. You want as much light as far in front of you when you are driving with some spirit....

Yeah +1 on the HIDs. We went to NC the other day in my in-laws' Buick Enclave. I had to drive and it was dark by the time we got home. Those HIDs are fantastic!

I have Geico auto insurance, and have mechanical brake down on my 09 f150.I think it is a 7 year 100000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. It is better than the Ford ESP.I checked into it when I bought my truck

I'd really have to read the fine print on anything by GEICO to believe that it's better than an ESP. That said, the last quote I got from GEICO was almost $600 more per year than what I pay now for insurance. The $600 per year I save by not going with GEICO pays for the ESP pretty quickly.

+1 John! I'd have to pay close attention to anything Geico says and prints.

Anyone who is going to purchase and extended warranty and isn't comfortable with the ESP () should contact "AAA".

I assumed that your original post referred to extended warranty coverage for your 6.0 diesel and not bumper-to-bumper coverage on the whole truck. When I bought my extended warranty, my truck was already out of the 3-yr/36K bumper-to-bumper waranty period, but not the 5-yr/100K engine warranty. The only extended warranty available on my 6.0 was the 13-point extended engine warrantee (to 7-yrs/ 200K mi) with a $0 deductible if a warranteed item failed. None did however.<O</O<O</O

Ah, I gotcha now. Yeah, I bought my ESP prior to the end of the 3/36 warranty.
