I agree with Casper. Properly setting up a differential is hard to explain in words. Experience is your best teacher.

I don't know guys,i'll probably take it to this gear shop in Greensboro this week and just have it done.I've done alot of reading,searching,talking to people,and i'm just not sure anymore.You guys are absolutely right,i would hate to get it all together and boom,a month or whatever later i discover it's wasted again.I Thanks for ALL your help and input.....Phil

NEVER install a used ring & pinion in a different rear end housing than the one that it came out of. You will never get the gear pattern to match up correctly & it will make all kinds of noise. The money that you will waste on gear lube & silicone trying to "fix" it could be spent on a new set of gears. You will be much more happy in the long run. I have built rear differentials for Ford for the last 16 years & I know what I am talking about.
