OK, so I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on my confusion here... I've been looking around, trying to figure out what part numbers go with what parts on my '06 F250 PSD. It all started when my WIF light started coming on consistently (even after draining it), and that got me into looking into what part(s) I would need to replace if I did indeed have a corroded WIF sensor. Looking on ebay and other ford parts sites, i've come across several different parts, part numbers, prices, components, and I can't make sense of them all.
I've been told the HFCM and fuel pump are the same, but then I find 2 different part numbers for them. And then there is supposedly a cover/manifold on the HFCM that contains the WIF sensor with another part number. I go to parts websites and only have cryptic words describing the parts, then i plug in part numbers from ebay and come to completely different parts... I'm a little overwhelmed.
Here are some different part numbers I've come across...
6C3Z-9G282-AA (approx. $220)
3C3Z-9C407-AB
6C2Z-9G282-AA (approx. $237)
And some part names (which i can't find part numbers for)...
HFCM
Fuel/water seperator (approx. $52)
Fuel pump (approx. $220)
Fuel filter (approx $328)
Fuel pump assembly (approx. $220)
I'm just looking for anyone who can make sense of all this for me, and tell me what I would need to replace to replace the WIF sensor.
