Hello all, I have a 2004 f250 with a 6.0, had an intermitent misfire, but now a staedy misfire, pulled code for #4 cyl. misfire, removed ficm and inspected harness, suspecting bad injector, ran out of fuel a while back like last month or so,my question is when changing injector, should i do them all, i saw hypermaxx injectors on sale? haw bad is it to change all of them? thanks for any input.
If you are going to do the job yourself, I would just do the one that pulled the code. After one time apart, you won't mind replacing the others if needed in the future. At a dealer, I might replace the 4 on that side. I feel that it's an easy do-it-yourselfer. Good Luck, Happy New Year
i would replace all 4 on that side imo. i wouldnt want to open it back up again a few weeks down the road for anouther injector, but that depends on your pocket I guess. if you can spring the extra cash then I would replace the 4 on that side.
Thanks for input, I currently have valve cover off, thinking i should do all of them on that side, the right side looks real tough to get to,looks like hvac case is in the way.

nither side is very hard to do. the hvac case is not bad to work around. by the way I think that side is easer
Really? I can do that side without removing hvac case? what do you think about hypermaxx injectors, I saw a whole set for 1200 bucks.
hypermaxx. Im sure soemone will pipe in on the aftermarket sticks. the good the bad and the ugly.
I just use 4c3z-9e527-xxx when I do any on 04.25 and up.
O and the evap case all you need is a 12mm racheting wrench and you can tape a t30 bit to a 1/4 wrench to get the oil rail bolts off. also the stand pipe needs to come out of the oil rail before you remove the rail on that side

Thanks for the help, I will try and get that valve cover off over the weekend, I am also pulling intake and turbo off, i want to put my egr delete kit from rcd.
Just wanted to update thread, I replaced the #4 injector, truck is running great with no misfire, only issue at this point is the truck takes very long time to start, extended crank, was wondering if reflash will help, never brought truck in for flash yet. Still have cold start issue, runs rough once it warms up, run's great.
