Nextar Backup camera/GPS
I didn't want to Hijack the "Dirt Cheap Backup Camera" thread so I am starting a new thread.
I fried my GPS by plugging it into my Blackberry charger so I am in the market for a new one. I saw this Backup camera/GPS at Advance Auto Parts. It has one bad review, but I can't find a whole lot of info. Just wondering if anyone here has one and what they think.

I find amazon to have some of the best real world reviews for all kinds of products... cuz they come from end users like you and me...
The bad reviews outweigh the good... Off brands are not always bad but its all about how accurate is the mapping and address database. I just returned a Magellan 1475T from amazon cuz it consistantly showed my location a few hundred feet back from where I was even stopped at an intersection. doesnt help any in busy areas where there are many close together streets.. end up missing the turns.... I like the interface but its gotta be accurate too.
I have a tom tom 130 which is spot on for location but I want a bigger screen and also the ability to scroll the map and choose the zoom level while on a route which the tom tom won't do.
problem with all in one devices is the do lots of things but rarely do anything well....
you might look at a double din DVD receiver as most have a backup camera input and then add a camera..... get a dedicated GPS unit is probably the way to go... on a side not avoid the Microsoft service on Garmin as MS is discontinuing the service permenantly in 2 yrs
