just below 1/2way point of the normal range on the meter...
never moves...either the cooling system is working perfectly, or teh guage is laffably inaccurate...
doesnt matter if im going up a really steep hill with a bed full of weight, in the hotest day of summer or just driving around empty on the coldest day of winter..
guage is always pointing to the same point...when at operating temp.
Took a look today, just a hair under straight up and down you can barely see the little drawn thermometer to the right of the needle. This is on an '09 not sure what other year gauges look like.
You guys got some problems. I've never seen mine above 160!
EDIT: I thought we were talking trans temp gauges. On my SCII, I operate from about 180 - 190. Posted last night after coming home from snow plowing. Sowy.
mine was causing problems truck was running bad see my ( what do you think ) post . when checked the truck was running in the 130 deg ( gauge had dropped about 1/4 below 1/2) range it would run fine cold for around 15 miles than had no power. new thermostate now 195 deg . trucks been good for last 75 miles .
My truck never seems to warm up, it runs just at the start of normal. The heater blows just warm air not hot. I was thinking on changing the thermostat to see if that helps any. What do you guys think? I also thought someone put a cooler thermostat in there like a 160, or it just maybe faulty.

I agree, my heater is a cooker and it warms up fairly quickly, even when our winter temps drop into the high-40's! I actually used my A/C on the way home yesterday...
