How much camper weight?

I'm looking into getting a camper for my '97 F-250 SC, 4x4, w/460. What is a reasonable weight for a camper w/o airbags and helper springs while still having a nice driving and decent handling setup?

Are you talking about a slide-in camper or a tow behind? Fifth wheel or ball?

probably close to 2,000. I use one in my 95 f-150 w/ i6. You should be fine.

^ I second that. Being a 250 2000 pounds would be all I would want and still keep the decent ride and handling. Some trucks had a rear sway bar for campers and things. Does you truck have the rear sway bar?
