anyone know where to get replacement block heater elements? left it plugged in last night and this morning it was not warm. Pretty sophisticated test eh?
I have had some problems plugging in before as well. I would check the cord too. I had a cord with a bad end and the neutral wasn't there. I carry a potentiometer w/me and always check for power but it doesn't check the neutral. Took a little to find it. Also (as you may well know) make sure you have enough coolant in your truck.
No joke about the price difference. A buddy went to change one recently dealer wanted $50 for the heater and $90 for the cord. they say its based on the varying lengths of the cords for different models but the heaters themselves are the same. IH Ibeleive the heater was $35 Seen some on ebay for about the same.
