I noticed you had new bolts and nuts in the pic of new trailing arms. I was wondering if they come with them or you purchased separate? Just an FYI.....FORD gets $23 a bolt and $5 a nut if you buy through them.

I received a message from an administrator for this forum about promoting these arms....I am not affiliated with these guys, I like to share good experiences I have with vendors that give great customer service! That is rare these days!! I just found the forum and joined. What are we allowed to talk about??? I guess we aren't allowed to have a lengthy exchange about anything! There are other threads that are much longer! I hope more expy owners were helped than offended.

Did the old trailing arms rust out?

Any reason why you replaced the arms? Better ride?

Thanks!

1expy - I sent you a message in reply to the one you sent me. We prefer not to do our moderating in the open but hopefully this will explain.

Helping others out is what FTE is about and how it began. We have many, many spammers and sales people come here and they are getting more and more creative. It is one of our jobs as moderators to try our best to protect our users from spammers.

If you would like to discuss this with me further, please email me thru the link in my profile.

Thanks.

The kit that I purchased came with hardware, I used the bolt's and washer's however I did not like the nut's that came with the kit so just used the old ones.

See my pic below of mine that broke. Rear shifted down and snapped the driveshaft yoke. Inspect yours for rust now before they snap.

I don't remember what I paid for my OEM arms but I think it was well over $400 for all four. I havent done my uppers yet - the lowers already had holes in them but the uppers are not as bad - I'll wait for warm weather to do them...

If anyone has any of these that are in decent shape(small holes ok,as long as its solid)i will buy them from you.I want to start making some of these and need some decent ones to start with.

i don't think just any set will work. there have been a few revisions that are different from year to year. i know mine were different than other models.

The difference is like 5/8 of a inch difference in length. It was a running change made in 11-97,as long as you have matching ones it dont matter, but you want the newer ones so the oinion angle is better.
